THE SPRING GET TOGETHER 2008
The Spring Get Together was held on Saturday 7th May 2008, at the usual venue of The Parkway Sports and Social Club, Ernesettle Lane, Ernesettle Plymouth and was a great day. Following a week of very nice weather, the sun was shining and an excellent day was had by all.
The festivities started at 1100 and continued well past the usual 1500 finish time. As with previous years the Spring Get Together is a little less popular than the Christmas one, but this one was fairly well attended with a fine mix of regular faces and some new members of the Association.
The Committee were kept busy throughout, especially Eddie Wilton who was selling merchandise and signing on new members all the way through the event. The efforts of the Committee were easily matched by that of Pauline Elliott who was up at 5 o clock that morning getting the buffet ready (with a little help from hubby Dave) and Doreen Sellick who always does a sterling job selling the raffle tickets. Thank to all those who helped on the day or supplied raffle prizes. More photos from the event on the Picture Archive page.
